Mr. Darren Christian
I have been teaching for 20 years and in Senior Leadership for 10 years. SNHS is my fourth school. I have held many diverse roles including behaviour management, curriculum, timetabling and line management of teaching and learning. I was also Acting Principal before arriving at SNHS. Becoming Principal at this great school is something that I am immensely proud of.
Mrs. Jenny Hornsby
I started in the role of Senior Vice Principal at SNHS in September 2019. Prior to this role I have held positions in senior leadership for the past nine years across the country; this is my fourth school. Through these roles I have led on all areas of school life including teaching and learning, curriculum, timetabling and behaviour. I began my teaching career as Head of English at a school in central London and since then my greatest drive has not changed; to secure the very best for every young person, no matter their circumstance.
Mrs. Ginny Wood
Director of Finance and Resources
I was appointed as School Business Manager at SNHS in December 2012 with my role evolving to Director of Finance & Resources within the Senior Leadership Team. The whole of my 37 year career has been within Local Government finance with the last 13 years being specifically based directly in schools, however the previous 13 years to that were also directly linked to providing financial support to schools.
Mrs. Samantha Johnson
I was appointed as Assistant Principal at SNHS in January 2014. Prior to this, I spent 12 years at another Kirklees school as a Head of Year, Achievement Coordinator and finally as the school SENCO. I started my career in 1999, teaching Science in Wakefield, gaining promotion to Head of Year at the end of my first year.
Mrs. Victoria Mason
I joined SNHS as a science teacher in 2003 and in 2011 I became a Head of Year. In September 2017 I was appointed as Assistant Principal and became responsible for the outcomes of our students. My role includes the analysis of assessment data, target setting and reports. My aim is for every student at our school to reach their potential.
Mr. Craig Fenton
I joined SNHS as a PE teacher in 2008 and in 2014 I became a Head of PE. In September 2020 I was appointed as Assistant Principal and became responsible for the behaviour and attitudes of our students. My role includes Admissions, Attendance and Behaviour and managing our Head of Year team.
Mr. Rob Morris
Associate Assistant Principal
I was appointed Associate Vice Principal in September 2020. I am the current Head of Year 11 and I also teach PE. I was previously the Head of PE having been at Salendine Nook since 2002. My new areas of responsibility include our pupil mentoring system, anti-bullying strategies and I also lead the student council and pupil voice.
