Talent Show 2023

In Drama, Music by Salendine Nook

On the 9th of November, we had our annual competition of ‘Sally Nook’s Got Talent’ that saw students from KS3 and KS4 compete for the chance to become this years winner. Over 50 students applied for a chance to audition, and those successful acts were then given a staff member from the performing arts department to mentor then.

We saw a range a talent from Musical Theatre performances, Dancers, Musicians and Singers. As always, the competition was really tough, and they had to impress our four judges. The judges for this year were, Mrs Johnson (SLT Judge), Mrs Oldham-Fox (Governor Judge), Evie Mortimer (Student Judge) and our ‘Special Guest Judge’ Livvy K.
Livvy K wowed the audience with her performance, to which students left their seats to join her at the front of the stage, as though they were at a concert.

But now it is time to find out who won the following awards…
KS3 Audience Winner: Noah Pettigrew 8K, Harry Thompson 8G and Zachary Howlett 8E – Crimson 3 performing a cover of ‘Vs. Suzie’.
KS4 Audience Winner: Isabelle Wignall 11C, Albie Cunningham 11E, Daniel Pollit 11C, Ciaran Sloan 11D, Ben Daniel 11K – The Pookie Bears performing a Cover of Everlong.

KS3 Judges Winner: Sienna Lister 7B – Lyrical Dance to ‘Heaven is a Place on Earth’.
KS4 Judges Winner: Katie Holdt 10F – Sung ‘Hallelujah’ by Alexandra Burke

Overall Winner: Evie Wilcockson 11E – Sung ‘Set Fire to the Rain’ by Adele

The sold out event was triumph, and as always, it is great to be reminded of how talented our students are at this school. We can’t wait to see what to see what talent awaits for us next year.
