Children’s author Clare Weze delighted year seven with her recent visit to the schools Learning Resource Centre [LRC]. Every year seven student was given a copy of her debut book The Lightning Catcher to read over the summer break, and the book was a hit with both staff and students!
Students queued eagerly at lunchtime to talk to Clare and get their copies signed, and the LRC was buzzing with a fantastic atmosphere. A further forty students were lucky enough to be selected for for a VIP workshop with Clare, where they had the opportunity to ask questions about her book, and what it’s like to be an author!
The students massively enjoyed this event, and it was great to hear that some were even considering becoming an author themselves in the future! We are already excitedly looking forward to hosting more events like this in the future!
