On Wednesday 16th October, as part of Restart a Heart Day 2019, our wonderful Year 7’s learned CPR. The aim is that in 5 years time every single student at SNHS will have the knowledge and ability to save the life of someone suffering a cardiac arrest.

The Restart a Heart campaign (RSAH) is an annual initiative led by the Resuscitation Council (UK) in partnership with The British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross, St John Ambulance, and Yorkshire Ambulance Service which aims to improve the low numbers of people surviving out-of-hospital cardiac arrests.

A huge thank you to Community First Responder Darren Brook and paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance. We even had a surprise visit from Deputy Lieutenant Colin Blair who was only too happy to get involved! Finally a big thank you to Sam Johnson for organising the event.
