Last term the school council entered ‘The School We’d Like Competition’ run by the Guardian newspaper. We found out last month that we had been selected from over 400 schools to take part in one of the four regional semi-finals. On 31st January Mrs Burgess, Lewis Turton (Year 7) and Ben Robinson (Year 11) went to Newcastle to present the school’s ideas to a dragon den panel of judges. The boys were absolutely fantastic but were up against some stiff competition from two other schools. We will find out in a couple of weeks if we have been chosen to represent our region in the final which will take place in London at the Guardian offices. Well done and thank you to all the pupils who contributed to our brilliant entry.
