A message from the Principal

Many of you will have seen the disturbing footage of a boy being assaulted in a nearby Kirklees school. From recent media reports, this now appears to be a criminal investigation. This is obviously an issue of great concern. I am sure that the school involved will be taking all necessary steps to address the issue. Indirectly connected to this, a number of parents have contacted me, in relation to our policy and practice around bullying incidents.

I would like to re-assure all parents and students that this school has absolutely no tolerance of bullying, harassment or any form of discrimination. This includes incidents outside of school and bullying through use of social media. Students who are experiencing any form of bullying must report this immediately to their Head of Year or directly to me. The strongest action will be taken where bullying incidents are proven. We also take follow up action to ensure that the same bullying issue has not resurfaced in the future.

If you wish to discuss this or any other matter, please feel free to contact me.
