Senior Citizen’s Tea Party

Year 7 and 10 food technology pupils worked hard to create a brilliant banquet serving a high quality afternoon tea to senior citizens of the local community. Run by Mrs Roby, Miss Whitworth and Mr Davies, the tea party has been an important annual opportunity for the school and our pupils to give back to the community and this year was no exception.

This year the event also celebrated the Ninetieth Birthday of our Queen.

Mrs Roby, Miss Whitworth, Miss Brier and Miss Clayton worked with their very talented Key Stage 4 pupils to cater for the event with sandwiches, pastries, cakes and scones for our guests  to enjoy. Year 10 pupils also volunteered to act as hosts for the afternoon and displayed fantastic kindness and consideration to our guests.TeaParty2

Our brilliant Boys Choir and Glee Choir provided excellent musical entertainment for our guests and there were also solo performances. Our Senior Citizens had a thoroughly great time. We now look forward to next year’s event.
