Kirklees College Young Chef of the Year 2015

Kirklees College Hospitality department invited ‘budding chefs’ from schools in Kirklees to take part in the ‘Show Stopper Challenge’. The students had two hours to create four portions of a show stopper dessert and sweet sauce. Entries were judged on taste, appearance, originality, seasonality, cost, use of local produce, working practices and cleanliness

Two students from SNHS were entered into heat 1 on Thursday 7th May.

They both did really well and we are very proud of them.

Khizar Asghar did very well but, unfortunately, he has not made it into the finals.

Iman Dar was successful and has a place in the finals on 23rd June.










Khizar made a stunning Strawberry Cheesecake and a Raspberry Sauce.



Iman made a Lemon Pudding Cake with a Raspberry Sauce, decorated with mint leaves and Fresh Raspberries
