Science Week Simulation

virusThe whole school has been taking part in an AviFlu Epidemic simulation for science week. The simulation was to show the effects of an infectious disease spreading through the school population. The infection started off in a random undisclosed location, where an infected victim had to pass on the infection to four other people. Those newly infected four would then need to report to a make shift medical centre where they would be informed on what the infection was and were instructed on the rules on how to pass on the infection. Each infection would be passed on to four new victims, then 4 hours after infection they would return to the medical centre to determine if they had survived the infection or whether they would die. A Blog has been setup to report on the simulations progress click here.
