Year 10 Forensics

IMG 0117 150Miss Hale and Mrs McDonald’s year 10 group had a lesson on blood spatter evidence from a final year student at Huddersfield University. They spent some time learning about different types of blood spatter, and had a go at making their own spatter patterns. They then solved a crime scene using all their newly gained knowledge from the session.

Some comments from pupils:

Andrew – ‘I especially liked creating the blood stains and learning about how blood is used in a crime scene
Adam and Kyle – ‘We had fun and learned things we didn’t know like how to recognise blood spatter at crime scenes
Darius – ‘we learned how to look at crime scenes and it was really enjoyable
Mica and Chloe – ‘it was good working together and finding out about the story of the crime scene
Katie and Georgina – ‘We learned all of the different ways that blood can be spattered, and how to find out which spatter it was
Jack and Danny – ‘the lesson was good and we would like to do it again
Maisie – ‘it was really interesting to learn what to look for at a crime scene and how you can tell someone has been attacked
Chloe – 'My favourite thing was learning about the crime scene and about the different type of spatters.
