Cabaret 2014

m 2014 SNHS Cabaret 150As ever it has been a busy year for the Performing Arts dept, with the end of the April term ending with the extremely well-attended Shakespeare Festival.
This term has been equally busy, with three nights of public performances from the Y11 GCSE Drama students, a trip to see Lost Boy Racer at LBT as part of the Yorkshire Festival and Tour de France celebrations, the 8th sell-out Cabaret evening run by the Arts students of Y10, and the Senior Citizen’s Tea.
Music also held its Annual GCSE Showcase of the excellent musicianship in the senior classes, and Mr Power and Mrs Glover ran World Cup themed music and dance workshops at our local feeder primaries. As ever all our young performers did themselves proud and gained confidence and expertise in these activities.
We are pleased to announce the Talent Show in November, and the major School Production in February will be ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ Watch out for more information about auditions and ticket sales through the website.
