Primary MFL Afternoons

One of the highlights in the MFL calendar is our annual Primary Languages Afternoon. This event has taken place over many years and is much looked forward to by all involved. The event is open to groups of Year 6 pupils from Lindley, Reinwood, Moorlands and Spring Grove.  The pupils spend an afternoon with us and undertake a variety of activities in French, German and Spanish. The sessions are extra special as the activities are led by some of our Y9 pupils.

On a Primary afternoon the pupils will have the chance to work in our ICT suite on Spanish activities. They will also have the opportunity to increase their confidence in French numbers with games and songs, before ending their visit in our very own German Café where they will place their orders in German before sampling  some German foods.

We always receive positive feedback from pupils and staff about how much they have enjoyed their languages learning with us. The primary afternoon is great for developing our Y9’s leadership abilities and also helps the primary pupils in their transition to High School.
