Geography Chester Zoo Competition

chesterzooAfter recent field trips to Chester Zoo, Year 8 Geographers had an opportunity in the form of a competition to show their knowledge and understanding of endangered species. The Competition was to design and make a conservation board game, with an amazing prize of a £50 Chester Zoo Animal Adoption Pack, which included zoo tickets and the winners name on a plaque next to the adopted animal enclosure (this was donated by Chester Zoo). In addition the winners from each form group were presented with a certificate and Fairtrade chocolate in assembly.

The Adoption Pack included a choice of animal from:

  • Red Pandas, Giraffes, Elephants, Orangutans, Tigers, Meerkats, Penguins and Chimpanzees.
  • Two Admission Tickets
  • Cuddly Toy
  • Name displayed on a 'Thank You' plaque near the adopted species
