Media Studies visit to Bradford Media Museum

phoca thumb l dsc00055On Tuesday the 8th of January, the Y11 Media Studies groups visited the Media Museum in Bradford. All the students used the day to learn about how TV developed and the technical processes that go into making one of the most influential artforms of the 20th and 21st centuries. To round off their experiences, they also took part in a 2 hour filming and editing workshop with an expert, and working with cutting edge Apple technology. Alongside the Y11, Y10 photography students also attended the visit, visiting exhibitions based on portrait photography. They also were taken behind the scenes to see some of the Museum’s world-class archives, were given a talk by one the country’s leading authorities on photographic history and then did some practical photography of their own.

As ever, our students were a credit to themselves and the school, and a good time was had by all!
